Your privacy is very important to me. All information you share in therapy is kept confidential, in accordance with federal and state laws (HIPAA).

    • I will not share your information without your written consent, except in situations where disclosure is required by law. These exceptions include: suspected child or elder abuse, risk of serious harm to yourself or others, or a valid court order.

    • If you choose to use insurance, your insurance company may require basic information about your diagnosis and treatment for payment purposes.

  • In-Person Privacy

    • My office is arranged to protect your confidentiality. Sessions are held in a private space where conversations cannot be overheard.

    • For your privacy, I do not acknowledge clients in public settings unless you acknowledge me first.

    • Please note that waiting areas may be shared with others.

  • Telehealth Services

    • Telehealth sessions are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. You are responsible for ensuring your own privacy by choosing a safe and confidential location for sessions.

    • Technical issues may occasionally occur. If a session is interrupted, I will attempt to reconnect. If reconnection is not possible, I will follow up by phone to reschedule.

    • Telehealth services are only available to clients physically located in the state of Connecticut.  If you are a Connecticut resident and traveling to another state/country during our session without disclosure, this will result in a termination of the session.

Payment & Insurance Policy.

  • Session Fees
My standard fee is $150 per 53 minute session. Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise arranged.

  • Insurance

    • If I am in-network with your insurance plan, I will submit claims on your behalf. You are responsible for any copayments, coinsurance, and deductible amounts required by your plan.

    • If I am out-of-network, I can provide you with a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Please note that reimbursement is not guaranteed.

    • It is your responsibility to confirm your mental health benefits and coverage with your insurance provider prior to scheduling and payment.

  • Payment Methods
I accept credit/debit cards and HSA/FSA cards.. Your card may be kept on file for ease of billing.

  • Outstanding Balances
Balances not paid promptly may result in a pause of services until the account is current. Accounts overdue more than 90 days may be subject to collections.

No Surprises Act / Transparency.

  • In compliance with the No Surprises Act, you will not receive surprise bills for covered services provided in-network or for emergency care.

  • I will provide a Good Faith Estimate of your expected out-of-pocket costs if you are self-pay or using out-of-network benefits. This helps you understand your financial responsibility before services are rendered.

  • If you receive services that are out-of-network or not covered by insurance, you will be informed before the session so you can make an informed decision.
