Confidentiality
Your privacy is very important to me. All information you share in therapy is kept confidential, in accordance with federal and state laws (HIPAA).I will not share your information without your written consent, except in situations where disclosure is required by law. These exceptions include: suspected child or elder abuse, risk of serious harm to yourself or others, or a valid court order.
If you choose to use insurance, your insurance company may require basic information about your diagnosis and treatment for payment purposes.
In-Person Privacy
My office is arranged to protect your confidentiality. Sessions are held in a private space where conversations cannot be overheard.
For your privacy, I do not acknowledge clients in public settings unless you acknowledge me first.
Please note that waiting areas may be shared with others.
Telehealth Services
Telehealth sessions are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. You are responsible for ensuring your own privacy by choosing a safe and confidential location for sessions.
Technical issues may occasionally occur. If a session is interrupted, I will attempt to reconnect. If reconnection is not possible, I will follow up by phone to reschedule.
Telehealth services are only available to clients physically located in the state of Connecticut. If you are a Connecticut resident and traveling to another state/country during our session without disclosure, this will result in a termination of the session.
Payment & Insurance Policy.
Session Fees
My standard fee is $150 per 53 minute session. Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise arranged.Insurance
If I am in-network with your insurance plan, I will submit claims on your behalf. You are responsible for any copayments, coinsurance, and deductible amounts required by your plan.
If I am out-of-network, I can provide you with a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Please note that reimbursement is not guaranteed.
It is your responsibility to confirm your mental health benefits and coverage with your insurance provider prior to scheduling and payment.
Payment Methods
I accept credit/debit cards and HSA/FSA cards.. Your card may be kept on file for ease of billing.Outstanding Balances
Balances not paid promptly may result in a pause of services until the account is current. Accounts overdue more than 90 days may be subject to collections.
No Surprises Act / Transparency.
In compliance with the No Surprises Act, you will not receive surprise bills for covered services provided in-network or for emergency care.
I will provide a Good Faith Estimate of your expected out-of-pocket costs if you are self-pay or using out-of-network benefits. This helps you understand your financial responsibility before services are rendered.
If you receive services that are out-of-network or not covered by insurance, you will be informed before the session so you can make an informed decision.
